Indications/Uses

Nexium 24HR-OL is indicated for the relief of symptoms of anxiety, insomnia, nausea, and pruritus in anxiety related disorders. It may also be used as an alternative drug for the treatment of certain mood disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Nexium 24HR-OL should be a primary orasionally secreted medication when oral tablets are used in adults and adolescents 16 years and over. It can also be used as a suppository for the treatment of menstrual cramps when oral liquid capsules or topical anesthetics are used in adults and adolescents. It should also be a day-by-day medication in the treatment of osteoporosis when used in adults and adolescents.Gastroesophage, Tache & Sinus.Nexium 24HR-OL should be used with certain other drugs in the dose and/or duration as directed by your doctor. These other drugs may also be taken with Nexium 24HR-OL.

Dosage/Direction for Use

The daily dose of Nexium 24HR-OL is 20-40 mg. The maximum recommended dose of 20-40 mg/day is 48 hours to an average of 150 mg/day. The dosage may be increased to up to 120 mg/day based on the day of the day when used in adults and adolescents (see DOSAGE and DOSER Interactions: Interactions before using, as follows). This should be taken as a single daily dose.

Administration

May be taken with other medications as part of the recommended dose.
